RCDD’S VISION AND MISSION STATEMENT • RY2024-2025

ROTARY dreams of a world where children are loved, healthy, well-nourished, educated, and protected so that they, too, will be strong leaders in the future. We dream of a world in which all those who hunger are fed and those who suffer sickness are comforted and healed. A world in which safe and dignified work is available for all, a world with clean water to drink and fresh air to breathe, without warfare and violence.

The Rotary Club of Downtown Davao (RCDD) has followed this Rotary Dream for 31 years and has planted the seed of hope to make this Dream real.

RCDD never settles for anything less. Like its official club color- apple green, the club is vibrant and fresh with ideas, and like the green plants and trees, bearing good fruits to one shared with others who have less in life. We thrive in humanitarian service, fellowship, and friendship.

Every Rotary year, the Downtowners assess the club’s performance and check how much of its Vision and Mission has been achieved. Every year is another opportunity to be good, better, and the best, and we believe there is yet much more to be desired and done.

Vision

To be a social organization and a service club of outstanding men and women leaders dedicated to Rotary’s ideals of SERVICE, translating FELLOWSHIP and FRIENDSHIP to do good to God, country, and humankind.

Mission

o be an organization of business and professional men and women committed to promoting peace, fighting disease, supporting basic education, helping grow local economies, protecting the environment, and encouraging high ethical standards in business and profession, guided by the Four Way Test, the Object of Rotary, and Rotary’s Core Values.

Together we spread the magic of Rotary!

President's Goals and Objectives: RY 2024-2025

Rotary International President Stephanie Urchick calls on all Rotarians to recognize and amplify the organization’s power to save lives. She urges all club members “to champion Rotary’s Action Plan, to find a balance of continuity and changes, and work for peace.” She reiterated Rotary’s commitment to eradicating polio.

Guided by RI President Stephanie’s desire to prioritize Peace and to balance continuity and changes or innovations, RCDD will work on achieving these objectives for the club’s Goals and Objectives this Rotary year. As the club President, together with my irresistible team of officers and members, I commit myself to achieving the District Goals for RY 2024-2025, practicing Rotary’s Four Way Test with Rotary’s principle of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

The following are RCDD’s Goals for RY 2024-2025:

I. To comply with all the District Mandatory Obligations.

II. To increase its impact in the community through its contributions and support to the Rotary Foundation (TRF) and its community service projects on the Seven Areas of Focus, which are sustainable, measurable in outcomes, and impactful.

III. To expand our reach through increasing membership and 100% retention as of July 1, 2024, and promote an excellent public image.

IV. To continue the club’s partnership in service with its sponsored Rotary Community Corps (RCC), Government/Non-Government Organizations, and other Rotary clubs in the district, nationally, and internationally.

V. To enhance the members’ engagement through attendance in PETS-SETS and District Training Assemble (DTA), participation in the Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) and Interact Leadership Seminar.

VI. To increase our ability to adapt through regular and prompt submission of reports through modern internet technology to the District 3860 website, submission of club goals to Rotary Club Central, and reporting service projects on the Rotary Showcase in Rotary.org.

VII. To be able to accomplish the minimum requirements for each of the District Secondary Goals to achieve the following:

a. To increase our impact in the community,

b. To expand our reach and

c. To increase our ability to adapt.

With God’s Grace and right direction, we intend to realize all these Goals to articulate the theme,
THE MAGIC OF ROTARY.
